Many of the companies we work with also work closely with charities and causes. We created this space as a place where you can find specific information about who you are helping when you support these  companies.

Inspired by my daughter, a childhood cancer survivor, and the many doctors and nurses who make a difference everyday, we have partnered with Cure Search. Watching children and families live through the trauma of childhood cancer first-hand, inspired me to commit to giving my time and resources to people working to find cures for childhood cancers. CureSearch unites the world’s largest childhood cancer research organization and the National Childhood Cancer Foundation through their joint mission to cure childhood cancer. Research is the key to the cure. Smart Mom is proud to support this worthy organization. – Kendra

My sister-in-law died suddenly in 2006 of an undiagnosed congenital heart defect. She left behind my niece, Emma, who was just 8 days old. Maria was an accomplished artist and designer at Eileen Fisher. Because of her love of fashion and interest in women’s issues, we support Dress for Success in her memory. The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. We hope it is a fitting tribute. – Amy

B Toys

Every B. Toy you buy gives 10 cents to Free The Children. From their site:

Started by 12-year-old Craig Kielburger in 1995, Free The Children is proving that it takes a child. That children helping children can change the world.

Over one million youth from over 45 countries have become a part of their mission: to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the notion that they are powerless to effect positive change.

So far Free The Children has built over 500 schools in communities around the world, providing education (the only way out of poverty) to 50,000 children every day. And it’s inspired young people throughout North America to develop as socially conscious global citizens and become agents of change for their peers across the globe.

The average age of a Free The Children team member is 22. And 65% of Free The Children’s funding comes from young people holding bake sales, walkathons, garage sales and coin drives.

Imagine 50,000 children going to school. Learning the valuable skills needed to help them grow, protect themselves from disease, earn a better living and understand their rights to ensure they’re never exploited. And that’s just the beginning.

Visit Free The Children to learn more and to find out how your family can get involved. Trust us when we say you will B. moved.
